Indigenous women and girls, a group who are socially, economically and politically marginalized, are disproportionately targets for hatred and violence. Many are missing and murdered and no one knows where they are. The lack of a diligent and adequate federal response is extremely alarming. The current Congress must reauthorize pending legislation regarding the VAWA: Violence Against Women Re authorization Act of 2013.
