 Creating your message in your art

two all day intensive study classes

Each day will begin with a discussion of what specific symbols mean and how artists have incorporated their message in their art.  We will explore how you can portray your personal message in your painting.  but....... where to start?  what message do you want to express? how to paint this?  We will go step by step.  You will finish your personal message painting by end of day. This is open to both new and experienced artists.  You may attend all three or just one. 

November and December class dates will be announced

two day sessions from 9;30 to 3;30 each day.   Expressing your message with animal symbolism, object symbolism, numerical and alphabetical symbolism.

fee:    two day fee $225 with lunch

location: Artists' Workshop, Studio a, 540 Barracuda Blvd, along the north causeway in new smyrna beach and next to the marine discovery center

Impressionistic Painting classes

 Fall classes will continue 4 Class sessions per month

Open to new and experienced artists working in Acrylics. This class will explore how to create a painting with the sense or the feeling of the image, but not every detail. We’ll begin by sketching on the canvas,  and move on to blocking in shapes and accenting the light and shadow of the image. Starting with our largest brushes and moving on to our smaller ones for finishing touches,

you can finish a painting in two classes.  You may bring your own supplies or have supplies provided.

                                                         Cost of each class

Artist to bring own supplies: 4 classes $100.00 for Artists' Workshop members

$120.00 for non-members.

With all supplies provided: 4 lessons $130.00 for Artists' Workshop members

$140.00 for non-members

intensive study: impressionistic painting with beau wild

These will begin in November 2018, 

all day workshop, 9:30 Am to 3:30 pm at the artists' workshop, new smyrna beach, florida. All supplies provided. Lunch on own. Paint the chosen image along with beau or bring in your own well composed image 8" x 10" color and black/white copy.

Be a part of the artist residency with fran gardner, professor of art and art history, university of south carolina lancaster.  This retreat is 5 studio days and 6 nights.
