Collection

Woman have been struggling with weight and body image for centuries. We are tired of “feeling fat” and need to get on with enjoying life. We need to break this vicious cycle of diets and guilt and self hate. Now is the time to accept our body weight and size, and celebrate feeling great about ourselves....just the way we are....AS IS.

These women believe in changing clothes and mindsets, rather than being told that they should change their bodies. Dr. Cheri Erdman says “I like to think that having a functioning and healthy body is the best type of body to have.” (Nothing To Lose, A Guide to Sane Living in a Larger Body. 1995). The notion that beauty can be measured in numbers on a measuring tape is way past its expiration date.

My mixed media piece represents the joyful acceptance and celebration of a woman of size. I have used the Cashmerette dress pattens, which were created by a Boston woman of size who could not use the currently available patterns. These patterns empower curvy women to make amazing clothes and to forget all about Full Bust Adjustments! These modern and elegant patterns are designed to celebrate curves, confidence, and limitless style.
